Drinking Chocolate Milk at school adds 5 pounds of unnecessary sugar per child per year.
Welcome to THE PLAIN MILK PROJECT.... As role models for health in our communities, schools and pediatricians must work together to improve nutrition for all children.
Currently students who eat breakfast and lunch at school are ingesting 18 teaspoons of sugar per day (3 times the recommended amount).
By removing flavored milks from school, we will immediately decrease our children's sugar exposure by 4 to 6 teaspoons per day, which adds up to the removal of 5 to 9 pounds of unnecessary sugar per child per year.
Download and print our fact sheets, coloring page, and letter to inspire your school & community to rise up and join our movement to get flavored milks out of schools.
Encourage your school to remove FLAVORED MILKS...
